How many people can I take per trip?
USCG certified to carry up to
six passengers, sorry no exceptions
. The cost of the charter is usually split up by your party , however this is your responsibility.
|
|
What do I need to bring?
Everything will be provided except what you would
like to eat or drink for the day. It is usually a good idea to bring all of
your party’s food aboard in one big cooler that is put in the boats salon,
that can then be used at the end of the day for your catch . Ice is also provided. You
may want to bring a camera for pictures of the ones that didn’t get away.
Appropriate clothing for the weather is your personal responsibility
(rain-gear, sneakers (deck shoes), and sunglasses are suggested).

What do I do with my catch?
All fish belong to you. The
mate and captain, nor you, are allowed to clean fish while at sea. Fish cleaning is provided
at the marina for 38 cents per pound. We have no financial interest in this operation, but
it is a great convenience and service to our customers. Our slip agreement does not allow
fish cleaning at our dock. The service will pick up your fish at the dock and it will be
ready in about 1 hour, at which time you pay them directly. Please inform the
captain of your interest in this service , so that he may call them on your way in , to
minimize your wait. We do recommend the cleaning service unless you
particularly enjoy cleaning fish. There is NO fish cleaning at the dock.
Please take from the ocean only what you can put to good use. I hate to think of throwing
away good fish that has been in the freezer too long. If you catch more fish than you wish
to take home or pay to have cleaned, please keep the captain and mate in mind. The only
fresh fish we get to eat is from a satisfied customer!

Are trophy mounts available?
The OLuckyMe can make
arrangements for any of your trophy mounts while
not having to utilize your fish. Please ask the captain for
further information .

How much should I tip the First Mate?
Mates
work for tips. A
first mate that does a good job of looking after your needs should
receive a tip of 10 to 15%. If you are not happy with the mate, please let the captain
know.

Conservation
We encourage responsible use of
the fish resource. I hope
my children have the chance to enjoy what I have been so fortunate to
experience. Billfish are
generally tagged and then released. |
